Made this today to practice using photoshop for UI design, will throw it in with my portfolio for tomorrow's interview. It's a "master study" of itunes' interface. Nothing special, but taught me a few things.

Job Interview

My Dad called me and left a voice-mail about two weeks ago telling me that there was an offer for a job as a web designer for a local company. I bought a paper and checked it out. The number for the company was a 410 number though, which is Salisbury, MD, aka about an hour drive. I figured what the hell? Give it a try, maybe the pay would be worth the drive. I made up a resume a few days later and sent it in. Hadn't heard anything from them, so I was pretty sure they just looked at it and decided I wasn't what they were looking for. Today I got an e-mail from the company asking if I could re-send the resume in a different format. I whipped up a .PDF file and re-sent it. About 15 minutes later (if that) a lady called me and arranged an interview on Tuesday. Turns out the actual office is on top of the restaurant I already work at, same building, just upstairs. Talk about convenient! I wouldn't even have to get in my car if I get this job. It could be something lame, I really have no idea what exactly they are looking for, but we'll see Tuesday. It's 4am, time for sleep.

New Blog

Made a blog once, never used it. Decided to try again. Here goes nothing....

Today I finally finished one of three signs I told my step-dad I'd do for him. My major discovery in doing this for him is that the time that goes into making a decent sign is so not worth it. It took me a good 10-12 hours to make this sign, and I am doing it for free. It was very little of a challenge to make the sign, just time, and patience. It did help me to steady my hand a bit which is always helpful. I don't think I have the stamina to do two more, so I may tell him to buy them (they're cheap anyway, roughly 15 dollars). I took a picture of it just because it took so much work. Boring, yes, but that's life sometimes.
